Burning Questions Answered Here

WHAT IS BHSCBC?

The Braswell High School Cheer Booster Club (BHSCBC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization made up of the parents/guardians of the BHS Cheerleaders. The Booster organization helps promote and support the cheerleaders, parents, coaches, and administrative staff of BHS by recruiting volunteers, organizing events, and fundraising to support and facilitate the sport of cheerleading at BHS.

Among the key activities of the Booster Club, is the Annual Banquet & Awards Ceremony at the end of the season, in which the BHSCBC scholarships are awarded.

HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF THE BHSCBC?

Parents/Guardians/grandparents are encouraged to become members of the BHSCBC as soon as tryout results are published. Membership fees are $50 for family and $30 for individual and available for purchase on website in our shop.   Each member is given voting rights toward any spending, shirt designs and fundraising, etc that help to shape our program.

CAN I MAKE A DONATION TO THE BOOSTER CLUB?

YES!  Please check out our donations page on the website. We also have corporate packages available.  All donations are tax deductible!

I DON'T HAVE A LOT OF TIME. CAN I STILL HELP?

YES!  You can help as much or as little time as you can spare.  We have multiple opportunities throughout the year that vary in volunteer time needed and we appreciate any help we can get.  We look forward to hearing from you!

I’M THINKING ABOUT GETTING INVOLVED W/ THE BOOSTER CLUB BY BEING A BOARD MEMBER.  WHAT IS THAT PROCESS LIKE?

We are in need of parents/guardians who can donate time and energy to better our cheer program.  If you are interested in being on the Booster Club board, please contact us ASAP.  Elections take place in April each year, (if there are any vacancies we can vote on that position immediately).  We do this to ensure that we have a full board in place during the summer months, which is when we vote on the budget and plan the events for the following school year. It also helps to ensure an easy and seamless transition from one school year to the next, as you have time to learn from your predecessor.
